Before the evening's festivities begin, those in attendance will witness the First Conclave of the Inner Circle of Obscura, where four Council-Elect will be inducted into the High Council.
It is an evening intended to celebrate tradition, honor, and new beginnings.

Hidden behind an unmarked door in the heart of New York City lies one of the Jazz Age's most exclusive speakeasies—The Cat's Meow.
Tonight's celebration is hosted by Felix Fontano, the well-known proprietor of The Cat's Meow and the son of one of New York City's most powerful bootleggers and crime bosses. Known for extravagant parties, influential connections, and impeccable hospitality, Felix has once again opened his doors to an extraordinary gathering of entertainers, socialites, business leaders, artists, politicians, and a few individuals whose reputations are best left unspoken.
As laughter fills the room and jazz drifts through the air, old friendships are renewed, new alliances are formed, and long-buried rivalries quietly resurface.
To most, it promises to be another unforgettable evening of music, celebration, and indulgence.
But beneath the glamour and sophistication, hidden loyalties, dangerous ambitions, and carefully guarded secrets are waiting for the perfect moment to emerge.

Two Ways to Experience the Evening
Every mystery needs unforgettable characters...
and curious minds determined to uncover the truth.
At The First Conclave, there are two unique ways to experience the evening. Whether you enjoy stepping into the spotlight or prefer solving mysteries from the sidelines, you'll play an important part in the night's events.
Become a Character
A limited number of participants will portray the colorful personalities attending Felix Fontano's exclusive celebration.
If selected, you'll receive a confidential character packet before the event containing your character's background, relationships, personal objectives, and carefully guarded secrets.
As the evening unfolds, you'll interact with fellow characters, answer questions, protect your own interests, and decide how much of the truth you're willing to reveal.
No acting experience is required—simply have fun and enjoy becoming part of the story.
Become an Investigator
Not everyone attending the celebration has a hidden agenda.
Guests who are not assigned a character are invited to participate as Official Investigators.
As an Investigator, you'll have the opportunity to question suspects, gather clues, compare stories, listen for whispered rumors, and uncover hidden secrets.
Participation is entirely optional.
If you prefer, you're welcome to simply relax, enjoy the atmosphere, watch the mystery unfold, and become immersed in the experience. However, if your curiosity gets the better of you, you may investigate as much—or as little—as you wish before submitting your official accusation at the conclusion of the evening.
Whether you choose to become a Character or an Investigator, every conversation could reveal a clue...
and every clue could lead you one step closer to the truth.
The Experience
Your evening begins not in a bustling speakeasy, but in the presence of the mysterious Inner Circle of Obscura.
As those in attendance gather, The Keeper will call the First Conclave to order and conduct the ceremonial induction of four Council-Elect into the High Council. For many, it will be their first glimpse inside the traditions of this secret society.
Once the ceremony concludes, the atmosphere shifts.
Guests are welcomed into The Cat's Meow, where Felix Fontano has opened his exclusive speakeasy for an evening of music, laughter, lively conversation, and celebration. Enjoy delicious hors d'oeuvres while mingling with entertainers, socialites, business leaders, artists, and other fascinating personalities from New York's Jazz Age.
Just when the evening seems to be unfolding exactly as planned...
Everything changes.

To preserve the atmosphere of the opening ceremony, participants are strongly encouraged to arrive no later than 5:55 p.m. Once the Conclave has begun, late arrivals may not be admitted until an appropriate break in the proceedings.

Your Missive
Several weeks before the First Conclave, your official Missive will arrive by mail.
Within its sealed contents, you may find:
• Your Official Summons: At the heart of your Missive is your Official Summons—the document granting you passage into the First Conclave of the Inner Circle of Obscura – Chapter Blackthorne. Along with your Summons, you'll receive the remaining documents needed for the evening's events.
• Your Numbered Admission Ticket
• Your Confidential Character File or Investigator's Dossier
• Final instructions before the Conclave convenes

Attire
The First Conclave is designed to transport participants into the glamour, elegance, and intrigue of the Roaring Twenties.
To help create an unforgettable and immersive experience, 1920s-inspired attire is strongly encouraged.
You don't need an elaborate wardrobe to capture the spirit of the era. Thoughtfully chosen clothing and accessories can transform a simple outfit into an unforgettable character.
Participants assigned a character are especially encouraged to reflect their character's personality, occupation, social standing, and unique style through their attire, accessories, and overall presentation.
Throughout the evening, The High Council will quietly observe those who have embraced their assigned identities.
Special honors will be bestowed for:

Awarded to the participant who most convincingly brings their assigned character to life through authenticity, creativity, appearance, and presentation.
🏆 Spirit of the Jazz Age Award
Awarded to the participant who best captures the elegance, glamour, style, and atmosphere of the Roaring Twenties while helping bring the world of The Cat's Meow to life.
The Speakeasy Table
Throughout the evening, a generous assortment of savory hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be available for participants to enjoy while mingling, gathering information, and uncovering secrets.
Unlike a traditional seated dinner, The Speakeasy Table allows you to eat, socialize, investigate, and return for more throughout the evening—just as guests would have done at an exclusive 1920s speakeasy.

Participation is limited to 40 attendees.
Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Participants must be 18 years of age or older.
